Job responsibilities
- Strategic Insight Generation & Synthesis a. Develop robust forecasting scenarios and income/cash flow -risk analyses b. Identify business opportunities and synthesise performance insights across markets and channels. c. Translate forecasts, variance analyses and cost-performance data into operational implications to support informed planning and decisions (i.e. clear strategic options, trade-offs, and risk implications). d. Support FRE Managers in understanding and managing income performance, budget assumptions, and expenditure impacts within their portfolios.
- Decision Framing & Leadership Support: a. Frame complex performance data into actionable business recommendations, helping leadership move away from repeated, fragmented analyses toward faster and more confident decisions. b. Prepare analytical evidence to support structured strategic dialogues with FRE leadership, ensuring insights lead to action rather than passive reporting. c. Work with managers to identify performance gaps, financial risks, and optimisation opportunities across acquisition, retention, and engagement activities.
- Income Safeguarding & Performance Monitoring: a. Provide focused ownership of payment performance, income continuity, and failure recovery b. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to enable early identification and mitigation of revenue risks before they materialise.
- Business Process Design & Governance: Support the O&BA Lead as a process owner for critical income-related flows (e.g. cancellations, debit failures) by defining business rules, thresholds, and escalation logic that clarify when and why organisational intervention is required.
- Journey Performance & Risk Tracking Monitor ROI, efficiency, and risk across key supporter journeys (e.g. welcome, lead conversion). Identify drop-off and attrition risks, with particular focus on the critical first 90–120 days of supporter onboarding.
- Standardisation & Analytical Maturity: a. Develop and maintain shared templates, methodologies, and analytical standards for budgeting and forecasting. b. Promote consistency across markets and reduce dependency on a small number of individuals or bespoke approaches.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Facilitation: a. Support the O&BA Lead in engaging senior stakeholders by preparing structured discussion materials, clearly presenting assumptions, evidence, risks, and options to enable leadership teams to validate approaches and select courses of action b. Contribute to strengthening financial literacy and ownership across FRE teams, enabling managers to actively manage performance rather than rely on retrospective reporting.
Skills and Expertise required
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or business-related field (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics), or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong analytical and business decision-making capability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a demonstrated ability to identify root causes behind performance issues rather than stopping at surface-level trends
- Proven experience translating complex data into clear, decision-ready business recommendations for senior leadership
- Ability to analyse end-to-end supporter, payment and income journeys, identifying drop-offs, friction points, and intervention opportunities
- Experience assessing income risk, volatility, and trade-offs, and clearly articulating their implications for planning and prioritisation
- Solid proficiency in SQL for independent data extraction, validation, and analysis from governed data environments
- Practical experience using Python or R for forecasting, scenario analysis, or income-risk modelling
- Skilled in data visualisation and insight storytelling (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to communicate trends, risks, and options effectively
- Experience contributing to process optimisation, including defining or refining business rules, thresholds, and escalation logic based on performance insights
- Strong systems and strategic thinking, able to connect analytical findings to broader organisational, operational, and income outcomes
- Highly detail-oriented, with strong ownership of data quality, assumptions, and analytical integrity
- Curious and questioning mindset, comfortable challenging assumptions and exploring “why” behind performance patterns
- Collaborative, resilient, and outcome-focused, with a bias toward decision support and action over analytical perfection
Specific Work Environment
- Regional cross-office collaboration (with colleagues based in Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul and Tokyo) with engagement across departments and cultures.
- A hybrid working environment with flexibility for remote and office-based coordination.
- Requires adaptability, self-leadership, and comfort working with multiple stakeholders across functions and time zones.
- Occasionally required to support change initiatives, cross-team capacity building, and process/system rollouts.
