Health Promotion & Community Engagement intern
To support the development and implementation of Operations Support Unit (OSU)’s health promotion activities aimed at enhancing the well-being of migrant workers in Taiwan and strengthening their capacity to respond to various emergencies or crises scenarios identified by MSF Taiwan, and the regional Operations Support Unit (OSU) with a focus on digital health promotion (DHP) activities and capacity-building training.
* Internship Duration: 1 July 2025 – 28 November 2025
* Working hours: approximately 15–20 hours per week
【Major Responsibilities】
①Develop understanding of global medical humanitarian crises and MSF's emergency medical responses, with focus on contexts including war and conflicts, epidemics and pandemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare.
②In close collaboration with the Health Promotion & Community Engagement (HPCE) Supervisor, contribute and support the implementation of MSF Taiwan’s health promotion activities, including thematic digital health promotion (DHP) campaign and capacity-building initiatives such as Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training.
③Assist in the development of culturally relevant materials and resources for health promotion and emergency response, ensuring accessibility for migrant workers.
④Support and strengthen the engagement with migrant worker communities
⑤Enhance personal and professional growth while contributing expertise to health promotion and developing skills in health promotion, community engagement, and humanitarian work.
【Requirements】
①Master/ Ph.D. Students in Public Health, Health Promotion/ Education, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology or Psychological Counseling or related fields and experiences are desirable
②If you are an international student in Taiwan, you must possess a valid Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), student ID, and individual work permit
③Experience in designing and implementing health promotion projects or in planning and assisting training activities
④Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate closely with MSF Taiwan’s Outreach and Support Unit (OSU) and engage effectively with diverse migrant communities.
⑤Fluency in Indonesian/ Tagalog; fluency in Mandarin or English is essentia
⑥Strong analytical skills and detail-minded; experience in conducting research interviews is desirable
⑦Available to work and travel at the weekend to support the HPCE activities which include support the health talk and PFA training
⑧Ability to work with populations from different cultures – high cultural awareness and sensitivity
⑨Strong interest in medical humanitarian action and global health issues with a clear commitment to the aims and values of MSF
【Other Preferred Experience and Knowledge】
①Experience working with migrant communities in Taiwan
②Background in research related to migrant health, social determinants of health, or community engagement

【主要職責】

【資格】
①就讀公共衛生、健康促進/教育、社會學、人類學、心理學或心理諮詢相關領域的碩博士在學生,或具備同等學歷/經驗之碩博士在學學生。
②如為在台外籍學生,需具備有效之在台居留證、學生證、及個人工作許可函。
③具備設計與執行健康促進專案或曾參與規劃與協助訓練活動的經驗。
④具備優秀的團隊協作及溝通與人際交往能力,能與無國界醫生(台灣)OSU團隊密切合作,並能有效與多元的移工社群互動。
⑤具備流利的印尼語/他加祿語能力;流利的中文或英語是必須的。
⑥具備優秀的分析能力及注重細節,具研究訪談經驗者尤佳。
⑦願意在週末工作並出差,支持健康促進活動,包括協助健康講座和心理急救訓練。
⑧具有高度的文化敏感度和認知並能與來自不同文化的族群合作。
⑨對醫療人道行動及全球健康議題有強烈興趣,並對MSF的使命與價值有明確認同。
